The establishment of the guidance of Kanji in elementary schools aiming for acquisition of handwriting. ―Through the analysis of wrong handwritten characters.―
The most important goal of the Shosha guidance is teaching how to write "correctly" and "beautifully". Therefore it must be taught how to write correctly in the beginning of learning characters. However, it is regarded as a problem that writing ability of children is declining recently because of the remarkable changes of their surrounding. This thesis researches the causes of children's mistakes in handwriting through analyzing wrong handwritten characters of all Kanji characters for elementary schools based on the result of an investigation of reading and writing etc. Furthermore, it establishes the effective guidance of Kanji which attaches importance to the process of writing recognizing how to use brushes and organize the shape of characters.
