The former questionnaire consisted of contents of disaster prevention education, recognition of their effectiveness, and concern about various situations after heavy seismic motion for school teachers, and consisted of knowledge about earth quake, tsunami, and evacuation behavior at and after heavy seismic motion, as well as awareness of earth quake, tsunami, and safety behavior in everyday life for students and pupils. 119 questionnaires from school teachers and 407 questionnaires from students and pupils were collected. Basic evacuation trainings were practiced at all schools but education which aims for autonomy of students were not practiced at many schools. The teachers concerned not only about extraordinary situations but also about basic evacuation behavior and safety confirmation to some extent. Questionnaires for students clarified that certain number of students and pupils did not have relevant knowledge of Tokai earth quake and following tsunami, evacuation behavior after heavy seismic motion were not well mastered, and that awareness to safety behavior of everyday life has stronger relation than awareness of natural disaster. The former questionnaire consisted of contents of disaster prevention education, recognition of their effectiveness, and concern about various situations after heavy seismic motion for school teachers, and consisted of knowledge about earth quake, tsunami, and evacuation behavior at and after heavy seismic motion, as well as awareness of earth quake, tsunami, and safety behavior in everyday life for students and pupils. 119 questionnaires from school teachers and 407 questionnaires from students and pupils were collected.
