大学生11名とLIS院生5名の計16名にレポート執筆準備タスク(Report課題)と旅行計画タスク(Trip課題)についての発話思考を伴うWeb探索を実施してもらい，探索中の発話を両面推移データと視線移動データと共に記録した.探索終了後に，探索両面のビデオ記録(一部は視線移動データを含む)を見せながら，探索中の思考や行動について事後インタビューを実施した.発話思考と事後インタビューの内容分析から，exploratory searchの特徴と，両タスクの違い，および大学生とLIS院生の違いが把握された.
We studied Web information-seeking processes by comparing two tasks: report task and trip task. Eleven undergraduates and five LIS graduates were invited to participate in the
study, asked to perform the two tasks while thinking aloud. Their eye-movements were video-recorded and superimposed on the screen movements. A post-search interview was
conducted after each task in which the participant was shown his/her video-recorded
search process with and without eye-movements. We identified some characteristics of exploratory search processes and elicited differences between tasks as well as between undergraduates and LIS graduates.
