| 内容記述 | Two experiments were conducted in order to investigate how positive and negative affect influence upon the organization of person information. Subjects rated evaluative and factual words (in Experiment 1), or positive and negative trait words (in Experiment 2), for the descriptiveness of a liked, disliked, or neutral person. Then they were asked to recall the words they had rated. It was assumed that fast rating times and good recall performances were indices of the richness and structuredness of the person-schema that subjects referenced in rating tasks. Experiment 1 showed that pieces of information about a liked person were well organized in memory compared to those of a disliked and a neutral person. The valence of person affected more strongly the organization of evaluative information than that of factual information. Experiment 2 showed that the affective consistency of the schema was higher for a liked person than for a disliked and a neutral person. Such positivity bias in the organization of person information was discussed in terms of cognitive and motivational accounts. | |||||
