However, conventional life-centered career education lacks the perspective of the information society of the future, and only a few activities have targeted schools with diverse career paths. Hence, this study conducted a survey on “roles that are important in life” and “images of the information society” among high-school students in preparatory and careerdiverse schools to develop the contents of life-centered career education in the information society for the latter students. The results showed that high-school students emphasized the importance of “work,” “family life,” and “leisure time” in their lives.
