| 内容記述 | Third-sector railways were founded in the 1980s, when the Japanese National Railways were unable to continue services on little-used rural railway lines. Some of these lines were handed over to local and regional governments who founded third-sector railways. This article looks into the operations of five third-sector railways in western,central and eastern Japan, four of which are unusual high-speed third-sector railways, and four also offer through services with other railways. | |||||
