| 内容記述 | The number of bullying cases in Japan has increased since the “Act for the Promotion of Measures to Prevent Bullying” was promulgated. However, the number of bullying cases has not increased uniformly across grade levels, and the increase is most noticeable in lower elementary school grades. Consequently, this study explored factors related to the increased number of bullying cases in the lower grades of elementary school. Participants were 20 school teachers who answered a self-report questionnaire. The questionnaire presented the number of bullying cases by grade level from 2006 to 2022, and asked participants to freely write about their perspectives of the factors behind the increased number of these cases in lower grades. The results revealed that key factors were changes in both the perception of bullying and the school’s response to bullying, as well as poor interpersonal skills, communication skills, and problem-solving skills among children in lower grades. | |||||
