In order to verify its effects, a questionnaire survey was conducted among adults who had experienced barefoot education approximately 20 years prior to the investigation. The results show that individuals who experienced barefoot education had significantly stronger internal control as measured by the Health Locus of Control (HLC) than those in the control group. Further, individuals who experienced barefoot education had significantly higher sense of coherence (SOC). However, no significant difference was found in terms of health conditions, such as the number of autonomic nervous system complaints, at the time of the investigation.
