We first examined a factors related to children's physical fitness degradation and speculated that decrement of duration of physical activity might be a primary factor of physical fitness degradation among school age children. For example, amount of activity per day, such as number of steps determined by pedometer has positive correlation between physical fitness in children. Making physical activity habit among school age children is important to keep fit in a life. It is well known that obesity in school age children have potential negative effect to physical and to mental health. Additionally, excess thin-bodied children also have potential negative effect to physical and to mental health. When considering the effective methods of how to improve physical fitness among school education, we expected that traditional play game involving physical activity (i.e. tag, hide-and-seek, etc.) are efficient for improvement of physical fitness. Because traditional play game could self-motivate children's willingness to physical activity where play game potentially involves "really fun". Additionally, traditional play game involving physical activity could ensure some amount of physical activity which might contribute to improvement of physical fitness in school age children. However, it is not known that how traditional play game affects physical fitness among school age children. Therefore, further research is needed to clarify the quantity of physical activity during traditional play game, and what kind of physical fitness (i.e. endurance ability, agility, flexibility, strength, etc.) could be strengthened by traditional play game among school-aged children. Additionally, it should be structured that how school teachers introduce the traditional play game to school educations and how to prevail new educational program in school.}, pages = {185--191}, title = {体力向上の取り組みの実践から見た子どもの体力低下に関する一考察}, volume = {2}, year = {2014} }
