| 内容記述 | 日本学術会議（Science Council of Japan）が出した提言「新しい高校地理･歴史教育創造―グローバル化に即応した時空間認識の育成」は、2006 年に発覚した世界史未履修問題に端を発し、「グローバル化」に対応すべく｢歴史を考える力」をいかに育てるかということに焦点が充てられている。「提言」、そしてそれを受けて活発化している歴史教育をめぐる議論では、即自的に「思考力」の証を求める傾向が強いが、思考力をより高めるための「知」を、いかに良質かつ豊富なものにするかというところに発想を転換することも必要なのではないかと私は考える。したがって、大部かつ詳細な｢提言」のなかから、それが最も批判の中心に据える「知識詰め込み型」という教授法のあり方の問題と、教授する内容―教科書の問題の主として２点に絞りながら、教員養成に携わる立場から歴史教育のありようを考え、ひいては歴史学を拠点に教科開発の意味を展望する。「知」の原点に立ち返り、「知識」と「思考力」を対置させるのではなく、両者は本来一体であることに意を払うべきであり、本稿は、その点を中心に据えて、教科開発という枠組みのなかで再度歴史教育のありようを問い直そうとする試みである。 | |||||

| 内容記述 | Motivated by the fact that many students weren't taking World History course which was necessary, Science Council of Japan proposed "The Creation of New Educational style of high school Geography and history". They focus on how to raise the student's "ability to think about history" in order to accommodate with recent globalization. Represented by the proposition, recent discussion tends to emphasize the importance of "way of thinking". However, I claim that what we need is not to raise "the way of thinking" but to enrich "the knowledge to think". Thus in this paper, I outlook the meaning of historical education by focusing on the "cram knowledge educational system", which was strongly criticized by the Council. I also claim that "knowledge" and "the way of thinking" and is not to be contrasted but to be thought altogether. Following such argument, this paper tries to redefine the historical education in terms of "Curriculum development". | |||||
