This is the first time that the guideline expressed the opinion that the administration of portable self-injection by school staff, rather than by the afflicted individual them-selves, is not a violation of the Medical Act. However, there are still needs for wider publicity and greater understanding of the guideline. In addition, there are not enough staff members for all the classes in schools. Therefore we examined the example from a precedent study and made it clear what problems could arise in the future.
