@misc{oai:aue.repo.nii.ac.jp:00005812, author = {鷹巣, 純}, month = {Aug}, note = {text, The story about the Paradise and Six Realms of Rebirth is especially important in understanding the Buddhist view of the afterlife based on the idea of reincarnation. The deceased will be born again and again in different realms and suffer from worldly concerns unless he or she will be enlightened in the ultimate faith in Amida 阿弥陀 Buddha. Two works in the Idemitsu Collection, "Ten Kings of Hell and Scenes of Punishments 十王地獄図" and "Six Realms of Rebirth and Ten Kings of Hell 六道十王図", are good examples of such "Travel after Death". The part one of this lecture first deals with the general understanding about the Western Paradise of Amida. Then, it explains the roles of Ten Kings, the witness report of the afterlife by the monk Mokuren 目連, and the process of the "travel" into the next world starting with one's death, climbing of the mountain and crossing of the river of the next world. The descriptions of each of Six Realms will follow in the part two.}, title = {地獄極楽道中案内―六道絵に見る他界観―(上)}, year = {2002} }
