The aim of this study is to improve the students’ adaptation to special need education and enrich the vocational education. The survey showed that many of the students with mild intellectual disabilities entered special need education school because they thought it would help them with their career choices and future lives. As for their goal getting in school life they often set up a goal of getting a job or becoming socially independent. Also, according to the survey, the students who made their own career choices are happier about their school life. Furthermore, the study showed that although the students often a vague idea of getting a job and becoming socially independent in their first year as they became senior students, they recognized their own challenges more clearly and set up more concrete goals.
