Two mountain guides and a mountaineer with various experience participated in the former task and five experienced nature leaders and four students of education department participated in the later task. Their verbal reports were decomposed into meaningful elements and were categorized into; hazard, risk, treatment, supposition, and others. Frequencies of each category, and unit of hazard and risk were counted. In the result, 21.4 hazards, and 15.9 risks were averagely identified in twelve minutes video clips. Regardless of experience and task condition (on nature trail / in laboratory), most of risks were referred but difference among individuals was found on hazard identification and reference to risk treatment. Knowledge about relationship between hazards and risks which were experienced in everyday life was used for risk identification in a recognition primed manner while risk identification depended partly on knowledge acquired from mountain experience. Risk identification through supposition was also identified.
