The unusually hot summer case was determined July 2004 and the unusually cool summer case was determined July 2003 by the fluctuations of air temperature at Nagoya local meteorological observatory. A daily analysis of some height fields in hot days and in cool days was carried out in the picked out days by daily maximum air temperature. The results are summarized as follows, (1) In unusually hot summer, a center of Tibetan High located over Tibetan Plateau in the monthly average height fields at 100hPa. In unusually cool summer, conversely, it located over Iranian Plateau.  (2) Accordingly, a ridge of subtropical jet stream formed over around Japan Island in unusually hot summer and a trough formed over around it in unusually cool summer. (3) A barotropic North Pacific High was formed over Japan Island at 500hPa pressure field corresponding to a ridge of subtropical jet stream at 200hPa field in hot days. In cool days, however, a stationary front, Baiu front, located over Japan Island.
