In order to further enhance nurturing of the qualities and abilities required in the 21st century, it became necessary to review past practices and to enrich exploratory learning. In this research, we took up the relation between the comprehensive learning and each subject. In particular, we reviewed the guidance of each subject using \"training of qualities and abilities that form the basis of all learning\" which is required for comprehensive learning in this revision.1) It turned out that there is two roles in the comprehensive learning . First, the comprehensive learning is the role of \"utilizing the qualities and abilities acquired in each subject\" which had been conventionally used in exploratory problem solving.
