In the United States, not only knowledge and skills of logistical supports for Service-Learning, but also educational specialty is required for Service-Learning coordinators; such as knowledge and skills to facilitate reflection for activities and to train students before they serve in the community. Meanwhile, it is not fully verified how educational engagement by Service-Learning coordinators impacts on students’ leaning outcome. Therefore, this study analyzes reflection sheets written by participants in training for a Service-Learning program developed by an author (university staff / Service-Learning coordinator). Reflections sheets were analyzed with SCAT (Steps for Coding Theorization). As a result, students’ “positiveness”, “critical thinking”, and “deeper understanding of subject matter” were increased.
