I found that the current \"Project Approach in Early Childhood Education\" in Japan has evolved from the philosophy of prewar American new education, which is advocated for project-type learning in many foreign childcare practices; a typical example is the childcare practice in Reggio Emilia, Italy. In addition, Japan's early childhood education policy recommends \"KYODOTEKINAMANABI：cooperative learning\" This concept means that children share common tasks and work together to learn, for the purpose of connection with elementary school education methods and contents. Moreover, the \"Project Approach in Early Childhood Education\" is spreading as a method for the purpose of cooperative learning. Based on this result, I extracted and analyzed the \"Project Approach in Early Childhood Education\" currently introduced by municipal administration and childcare facilities on their website. Accordingly, there were differences in the efforts of different government and facilities. Particularly, in some cases, the children were deciding the project theme, while in others, the teachers were deciding it.
