| 内容記述 | The purpose of the present study was to investigate students' use of a computer program which was designed to facilitate their understanding of ratio word problems. I developed a computer-supported learning environment which was designed to help the students to build a mental model of a ratio word problem before solving it. The computer-supported learning environment was constructed on the basis of a subprocess analysis of arithmetic word problem solving. The results of two experiments showed that the students who solved relational picture questions emphasizing the integration process outperformed the students in the other groups. Namely, the results showed that the computer-supported learning environment can facilitate students' understanding of ratio word problems. Theoretical and educational implications of this study are discussed. | |||||
