| 内容記述 | We here present results of a taxonomic study on additional specimens of small mammal remains from the Shiraho-Saonetabaru cave site which have been unpublished. The site is regarded as one of the most important paleoanthropological sites in Japan, because it has yielded Late Pleistocene human remains which are very rare in Japan. The sediments of the site range from the Late Pleistocene to Holocene in age, and contain a large number of small mammal remains. The additional specimens were collected by the excavations of the site in 2010 and 2013. They are assigned in generic level to five chiropteran forms（Pteropus sp., Rhinolophus sp., Hipposideros sp., Myotis sp. and Miniopterus sp.）and one form of rodents（Niviventer sp.）. We compare the results of the present study with the data of small mammal remains from the same site already published, and discuss the significance of the additional specimens. | |||||||
